Abstract
Purpose : We usually use the contrast medias for increasing the contrast between the organs and checking the body changes according to time passing. For those contrast medias, there are the side effects which are vessels pain, nausea, vomiting, and anaphylactoid reactions. The moving artifacts caused by patients¡¯ nausea make moving artifacts that damage the quality of images or cause the abnormal stop scanning. In severe cases, vomiting can lead to aspiration pneumonia. So this Study is evaluating that how much the method of oral cavity respiratory instead of nasal cavity respiratory helps to minimize nausea.

Target and Method : The target is the patients who meets following conditions among the patients who had visited the hospital from July to October, 2016. (total amount of injected contrast media 140 cc, injection speed 2.5 cc/s, follow up patients, contrast media used Iohexol 350mg I/mL) The fellowing method is retrospective survey method. (evaluating by showing directly the patients ¡®Nausea Scale¡¯, evaluating by showing directly the patients ¡®before-after difference scale¡¯) Use SPSS (V12.0 KO) to produce results.

Result : In SPSS results, Patient response levels according to breathing method achieve high correlation result (Pearson correlation coefficient factor 1), and before-after differences according to breathing method achieve middle correlation result (Pearson correlation coefficient factor 0.523). Proceeding without missing data, and this data¡¯s significant probability is less than 0.001 in tests of normality (p£¼0.001), between objects effect, chi-square, and correlation coefficient. Oral cavity respiratory is many between 0 to 3 points and is better and same than before, Nasal cavity respiratory is many 0 to 5 points and is same and bad than before.

Conclusion : This study shows that Oral cavity respiratory has scored over 2 of 10 in Prevention of nausea and is better than nasal cavity respiratory. This study could be helpful for more examination even its injection speed is much faster.
